Please, will someone tell me what is going on here?

Maurice Kirk, a slightly eccentric, but very intelligent man, as displayed and proven by his ability to not only qualify as a Veterinary Surgeon, but  also to gain a pilots licence and circumnavigate the globe, has, for the last three months, been imprisoned, and faces sectioning, for once being in possession of, and then selling on, a first world war decommissioned and unusable relic of a machine gun.

No trigger. No ammunition. No intent. It was of no use to anyone.

And yet, yesterday on the front page of the Bradford Telegraph and Argus, there is the story of how the Bradford Drugs Squad forced entry in to two houses and arrested 3 men and a teenager for being in possession of a gun, live ammunition, a large quantity of drugs, and a lot of money.

They have all been released on bail!!!

Good luck to them, but what about Maurice Kirk? His supposed misdemeanour pales into insignificance but why should there be such a discrepancy?

I ask that anyone who is able to, places this information before the Cardiff Court tomorrow

We must all speak out against this unwarranted denigration of truly british eccentricity. At one time Britons would smile on such a person as Maurice, but nowadays none of us are free to be ourselves if we dare to stand up against the wrongs within our society, the government, or those who have power over us all.
