INTRODUCTION 

1.1 On 25.6.13, A appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court and was tried in respect 
of one matter of s.39 common assault. He was convicted and now appeals 
that conviction. 
1.2 The offence took place on 23.04.13 at Cardiff Civil Justice Centre. R's case is 
that A was waiting in and around the building for his case to be called. He saw 
the injured party, Mr Evans. Mr Evans is a barrister who has previously
